These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Trap Stats, LLC, an Iowa limited liability company, operating Trap Stats ("the App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Trap Stats is a scorekeeping tool for trap shooting clubs — logging scores (including AI-assisted reading of photographed scoresheets), tracking team and individual leaderboards, scoring rounds live at the trap, and running a club: rosters, leagues and seasons, dues and card payments, liability waivers, events and announcements. It is a small, actively-developed project, not a mature commercial product with a formal SLA.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're between 13 and 17, a parent, coach, or team administrator is generally expected to be involved in setting up your account (see the Privacy Policy's "Children's privacy" section).

You retain ownership of the photos, scores, notes, and images (profile pictures, team logos) you upload. By uploading them, you grant Trap Stats a license to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the App — for example, showing your team's leaderboard to your teammates, or sending a scoresheet photo to a third-party AI provider to read it (see the Privacy Policy).
Scores extracted from a photographed scoresheet are read by a third-party AI model and may contain errors, particularly on difficult handwriting or a scoresheet combining two rounds into one photo. You're responsible for reviewing extracted scores before saving a round. Trap Stats is not liable for scoring errors introduced by AI-assisted extraction.
Improving scoresheet reading. To measure and improve how well scoresheets are read, Trap Stats may keep a scanned scoresheet photo, what the AI read from it, and the scores saved from it, for up to one year, and use them to check accuracy, to show the AI example sheets, and to train or tune a reading model (including with the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy). This is part of using the free plan, and of scanning a sheet outside any club. On a paid plan, a Club Admin can turn it off for the club's scans in Club › Settings, and a Shooter Pro member can turn it off for their own scans on the Pro page while their Pro plan is active. Scans made by an account holder under 18 are never kept. Kept scans are seen only by Trap Stats staff, are never sold or published, and are deleted with the club or the account that made them.
A Club Admin is responsible for their own club's roster and settings (who can join, whether teams are invite-only, and so on), and for the dues records, waivers, announcements and events the club keeps in the App. Trap Stats is not responsible for disputes between members of the same club or team; those are the club's own affairs to resolve.

A club can accept card payments for dues and tournament entry fees through its own Stripe account, which the club connects and controls. Those payments go from the payer to the club: the club is the seller, and Trap Stats isn't a party to the payment. Trap Stats doesn't add a fee of its own; Stripe's processing fees apply under the club's agreement with Stripe. Refunds, disputes and questions about what you owe are between you and the club.
A club can ask members and guests to sign its liability waiver in the App. The waiver is the club's own document, written or chosen by the club; the agreement it records is between the club and the person signing. Trap Stats stores the signed copy and shows it to the club, but doesn't write, review or give advice on any club's waiver, and isn't responsible for its contents or whether it holds up. The sample waiver offered in the App is a starting point only, not legal advice.
We do not guarantee any particular level of uptime. The App may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or issues outside our control. If you're relying on this for anything time-critical (e.g., needing to look up a score during an active competition), keep that in mind.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trap Stats, LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that scores read from a photographed scoresheet are correct; check them before relying on them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trap Stats, LLC and its members, managers and employees are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the greater of the amount you or your club paid Trap Stats in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these limits; where that's the case, they apply only as far as the law allows.
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms. A Club Admin may remove you from their club at their discretion, independent of your underlying account.
We may update these Terms. The current version is always on this page with its effective date. For a material change, account holders are notified by email or in the App at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the App after that means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the App will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Iowa, and you and Trap Stats consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may instead bring a claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.
